Abigail's B & B is situated in the heart of Newbridge. Located steps from the main street where you can walk to the many amenities that Newbridge has to offer. Just park you car in our car park and take advantage of the many downtown attractions. Whether it's an evening of theatre at the Riverbank Theatre or shopping at Whitewater Shopping Centre you are within walking distance. The Newbridge Silverware Visitor Center is a ten minute walk and the Ryston Social Club is a five minute walk. Take a early morning or evening stroll on the River Liffey that runs across the street the grounds are spectacular. A short fifteen minute drive will proivide day of racing at the The Curragh or at Punchinstown. The Irish National Stud home to some of Ireland's finest thoroughbreds and the Japanese Gardens are located 10 km from our guesthouse. A day of outlet shopping at Kildare Village is a short drive.
All of our rooms at Abigails are ensuite with tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has a television and we are set up for wifi. We have a selection of double rooms and a larger family room.

It has always been our dream to own a bed and breakfast and finally after a hard 6 years we completed our dream, building our own bed and breakfast in the beautiful town of Athy. Our Bed and Breakfast is situated just 10 minutes walk outside of Athy town so that we have the best of both worlds. The beauty of the country side and the amenities of the town. Nearby attractions include the river Barrow famous for its fishing , Kilkenny Castle , Glendalough , Athy Golf Club and much more.

Originally built as The Railway Hotel and located right in the centre of the heritage town of Athy County Kildare this elegant building continues to welcome guests from near and far. The Kane family have run the premises for more than thirty years, continuing a tradition of providing B&B accommodation to tourists and business travellers. Bed and Breakfast is provided throughout the year to include the many events that take place in Athy and the surrounding areas of South Kildare, Laois, Carlow, Wicklow and Kilkenny. Ensuite rooms to let are available for overnight stays or for short breaks, weekends and holidays in the South East. Athy is strategically located with quick access to the motorway network. The railway station in Athy has regular train services to Waterford and Dublin, with the Luas stop just outside Heuston Station. All the accommodation is located well away from the bars up the elegant 18th century staircase, which passes the Victorian breakfast room. The building has central heating throughout. Kane's Traditional Pub and B and B accommodation is located just yards from a range of cafes and restaurants offering a wide variety of food. Within a strolling distance there are a number of venues offering live music and DJ's which stay open until the early hours.

All have beautiful and tranquil views over the park and farm lands, and wooden shutters to close out the night. The PGA Club at Palmerstown House and Carton House both highly regarded courses are also in the proximity. No visit to Co. Kildare would be complete without a visit to The Irish National Stud, Japanese Gardens and St. Fiachra's Garden.
